THE ARTIST:
SHANNON ROMANO
Shannon Romano is a professional hairstylist celebrated for her mastery of precision color and design on hair. Her 20+ year career has taken her across California, Nevada, New York, and now Texas, collaborating with major brands, magazines, influencers, wrestlers, and recording artists. With more than two decades in the industry, Shannon’s artistry has evolved into a unique practice: using hair as her canvas. Her work merges the technical discipline of hairstyling with the meticulous patience of fine art, resulting in creations that challenge convention and redefine what’s possible on hair.
All designs begin in her studio, where she hand paints each piece using traditional paint brushes, direct dyes, and permanent haircolor. Most pieces require 1-2 weeks of highly concentrated work. Every detail of how a piece moves is planned with precision to ensure the artwork remains striking from every angle.
Shannon's pursuit of innovation drives her to continuously push boundaries and create hair that turns the impossible into the unforgettable.

Pigment Wigzzz have the ability to transform someone’s identity and become a bigger part of their story. There is an undeniable transformation that takes place through art in motion. Entertainment at its core is essentially performance art, as it leaves room for the viewer’s imagination as well. Trusting the audience to complete the narrative in their own unique way is what truly brings my work to life.
